We were really thinking of visiting Europe in 2003 but because of our impending expenses in the coming year, we'll try for 2004. Also the talk of war has discouraged us.

Yes, most definitely! We have put our European travel plans on hold until we know which way things are going to go - hopefully, peacefully. With the terrorist's talk of possibly using WMD ...who knows what the future holds.
Thanfully, we have the GOP in power so we are defending ourselves.

I'm not cancelling. Going to France, then to Turkey. Haven't ticketed yet, but have most of our plans made. Unless something happens prior to my ticketing for this April trip, I am not concerned.

Just remember, "Worry is like a rocking horse...it keeps you going, but you never get anywhere."

Jean

No sir reee Bob... We are headed east in 2004 and then I WILL spend some time with my best friend in Champagne the year we turn 50. Travel stops for no war in my life. Only lack of funds creates this tragedy.

RE: Why

Actually, the USA has an outstanding approval rating around the world - about 65% accordong to a recent PEW Study. The tiny minority that hates us are mostly fringe groups that fear our lifestyle, our democracy, our freedoms, and our willingness to confront terrorists.
