Does France have a cheap phone card?

Just wondering if I can get a cheap card for international calls in Paris like I do in Italy, where I can get the 5-Euro Europa card that gives 200 minutes. Anybody know?

sure - in fact most of the ones you can get in France, or in Italy, or in the UK or many other countries work all over.

In Paris I like to purchase the phone card from Fat Bike Tours their office is in the 7th or the 15th. Can't remember which.

Yes, you can get a télécarte at any news kiosk or tabac and plenty of other places.

If you want to make international calls cheaply, a télécarte is not necessarily what you want. Télécartes will work fine but the calls are more expensive than using a special long distance card.

Télécartes cost 7.50 euros for 50 unit cards and 15 euros for the 120 unit variety (20 free units over the prorated 15 euro card).

Most tabacs sell a international calling card which requires your calling a free local number, entering a special code found on the purchased card, and then dialing the international number which is the objective of your call.

The last such card I purchased offered 60+ minutes for a cost of 7.50 euros.
