Do Spain museums and cathedrals require cash or take credit cards
I'm trying to decide how much cash I'll need for travel to Madrid, Seville, Granada, and Barcelona. Do the museums and cathedrals require cash for entry or will they accept credit card payments?

Cash-only is the rule, except at some expensive attractions like Alhambra (but most people book online in advance) and Prado. Churches are almost always cash only.
Have at least 100 euro in cash at any one time when cards aren't accepted.

bronlev,
are you planning to take all this cash with you?
there really is no need - you go to an ATM and get out local currency ie euros - as and when you need them.
as for how much you'll need, it will vary. I felt that of all those places, Barcelona was the most expensive - the gaudi places are at least €10 each, I even have an idea of some being €20. but the vast majority DO take c/cards.
BTW, if you are hoping to go to the Alhambra, you will most probably need to buy your tickets in advance, for which of course you will need your credit card.
