Do Liechtensteiners like Molvanians?

I've heard from fellow Molvanians that they were treated as tho they didn't exist on a recent trip to Liechtenstein. I'll be going there next month for a polka contest, and want to know whether I should take defensive measures, like wearing a dirndl, or carrying a wedge of Swiss cheese. Comments?

I think the Molvanians have been traded off to the Albunians for a piece of croissant so you won't have to deal with them at all.

Oh, but I forgot, don't forget to keep your dirndl in a snit.

Hmmm, it seems to me tomboy that if you paste some Canadian Flags symbols on your backpack when going to Liechtenstein you will be treated just fine. It seems everyone, and I mean everyone, loves the Canadians. Might not be a bad idea to wear a TShirt with the MapleLeaf on it even when donning your dirndl..double insurance as it were.

Molvanians have no money. Of course, they were treated like air. What did they expect in the land of secret bank accounts?

You should be OK if you take a few packets of Lucky Strike to exchange for their wives and daughters.

Hey Schuler - I thought you lived in the land of secret bank accounts

I know of no better defence mechanism than to carry a wedge of MUNSTER cheese. There will be a clear space of fifty paces in all directions around your person.

I rather fear most Liechtensteiners perceive most Molvanians to be rather more redolent than that even without the cheese. It's those shoes, you know.

Plus, of course, they offer few marketing opportunities for Liechtenstein's other famous products - false teeth (of no value in the land where gappy gums are the mark of marriageability) and postage stamps (postcards are like catnip to a Molvanian donkey).

The title of your post is absolutely obscene.

Perhaps you should bring along your moosehead hat to insure your being taken for "canadian"...

Don't forget to have your teeth checked by their world renowned dentists!

And definitely pack the dirndl with some cheese so it has the odor on it when you arrive!
Send postcards please!

I asked sometimes in the past that question to Liechtensteiners, and all the answers I got were: "Whattt??? Never heard".
My conclusion is that this is a denial defense mechanism. You should expect to listen answers like that.

I am troubled by the anti-cheese bias in this thread.

Liechtenstein is not known for its cheese. It's about secret bank accounts (I know lots of Swiss who keep their financial secrets there), the Prince of Liechtenstein and power tools. They make some nice stamps too.

Sometimes we drive through Liechtenstein (Feldkirch) to get to Austria.

Schuler, do you remember the day known by the Liechtenstein Pearl Harbor? Many Liechtensteiners believe that Molvanians took part in the conspiracy. It triggered anti-Molvanian sentiments.

> It triggered anti-Molvanian sentiments.

Does this by chance explain the fact that Liechtenstein doesn´t export any cheese?

Hello dear Lobo,

Yes, I do. As a result of all those Molvanians storming the Prince's wine cellar and emptying all of its contents (they were looking for the bank vault), the public is no longer allowed to tour the castle.

Lobo,

Oh, that story. I read about it on Fodor's. It didn't make the Swiss papers.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you. I still smile when I think of our evening together.

Most Liectensteiners are intelligent enough to differentiate between the Molvanian people and the policies of their Grand Duke Pfoffen-Krumschov.
