I was in Paris in August and disposable cameras worked fine. I brought 2 with me and bought 2 more there!

Disposables take up more room than a "regular" camera. Moot point if you're getting the photos developed in Paris (but processing is more expensive in France).<BR><BR>My friend lost her camera in Paris and bought disposable cameras -- she was disappointed with the quality. However, it was better than not having photos!

Get a good quality, pocket-sized camera with a zoom lens. The one I use constantly is an Olympic Stylus Epic Zoom 80. It is the size of a deck of cards. You'll have much more flexibility of use, especially in low light situations, and you can keep the camera with you at all times. <BR><BR>BTW, the best solution for photographing buildings is not to. Your vantage point is usually less than ideal; also, architectural photographers use a special lens to correct for the strangely curved appearance of buildings with a regular lens. Buy postcards of the big views instead, and save the camera for shots that have a personal appeal for you.

Disposable cameras are good for supplementing your point-shoot or SLR. I use them to hand to people, asking them to take a picture of my husband and me together. Wouldn't want to try that with my regular camera. The quality of the Kodak brand cameras is pretty good. Remember you shouldn't use a flash in designated areas of musuems etc.
