Disneyland Paris

Has anyone been to Disneyland Paris, especially in Feb.? What are your thoughts, how does it compare to Disney in the U.S., is it worth going if we are in Paris for 7 days with 3 kids?

I've not been (but hope to one of these trips). You will get many people outraged at the idea of spending a day in Paris at something so "awful" and so "American" as Disney. But do the kids want to go? If so, then I say do it. It will be a nice break for them from the other 6 days in Paris.

February? That's another question. Anyone??

I was in Paris in February several years ago and it was pretty cold and miserable; however that could be the perfect time to go to Disney! We were in Disney (Orlando) in February 2 years ago and although quite chilly, it was perfect - no lines, no swarms of people, etc. So I guess it is just the way you look at it.

Why wouldn't you go? It is a great idea!
Disneyland Paris is an amalgame of all the Disneyworld parcs together, except for Animal Kingdom. All the best is reunated in Disneyland Paris. You cannot compare the athmosphere you have in the parc in Paris whith the one in Orlando. It is more Frenchy. In any case, the parc in Paris is newer and the attractions too. Try to go on a day in the week, the weekends are extremely crowded.
You can also visit the second parc: the Studio's, but excepted for the Rock and rollercoaster and a few other things, there is not so much to do, and not worth the dayticket (the entranceprice for both the parcs is the same).

In February it can be cold and freeze, but there are also nicer days. Don't worry about the rain, a lot is indoor, or the lines are covered.

February is the best time to go, as there are minimal crowds, and usually no waits for any of the rides. Just take an umbrella and rain poncho in case of bad weather.

Be aware, however, that the Park closes a lot of rides and restaurants in the 'off' season. They may even cancel the live shows. This can be quite disappointing for kids who have their heart set on a particular attraction.

Also be prepared for the fact that the park is smaller than the US ones.

It is definately worth a day, especially if you want to give your kids a treat after more serious cultural tourism in Paris!

Our family of 4 went a couple of years ago, and enjoyed it. It was similar to Disney in Calif. The kids liked the familarity after traveling 2 1/2 weeks prior through Europe. If you have time, go ahead. I don't know about Feb. weather
