Discovery Channel: Italy revealed

If you're not watching now, turn to the Discovery channel and watch the new National Geographic special called "Italy Revealed".

On the westcoast this program starts at 9:00pm PDT. I am looking forward to watching it!!

For anyone that didn't see it, look for it to be rerun. Well worth the 2 hours. It mostly highlighted young people that were trying to maintain Italian culture and heritage, instead of going off to the "big city". The guy that trained for 3 years for a one-shot chance of passing a test to be a gondalier....and many more. People passionate about their country and heritage. Refreshing.

Found it about a half hour into the program. I really enjoyed it. Especially liked the gondolier segment and how proud the family was for him to become one of the symbols of Venice. It was moving to see him take his family for a gondola ride when he passed!

Neat seeing the Palio too.
