Dirleton to Waverly Station-help!

We have to return our car to Waverly Station upon re-entering Edinburgh. We will be coming from Dirleton castle. The driving directions I've seen are...confusing to say the least. Janis? Sheila? thanks!

Ani - you are just making your life miserable trying to figure out those web-based directions. Dirleton to Waverly Station is very straightforward as Edinburgh goes. Just stay on the coast road (the one Direlton is on) - it will be signposted Musselburgh. Then from there just follow signs for Portobello and/or central Edinburgh. As you get into Edinburgh proper all the signage will lead you right there.

Ani, try the directons on the AA's web site at www.theaa.co.uk. They seem confusing now, but when you're actually driving the route, you'll find them very simple to follow. It's about a 40 minute drive and it really isn't very complicated.

That's actually the site I'd tried and it DID seem really confusing and long...I think what I'll end up doing with the trip in general is using our great highlighted road map, Janis's directions AND AA directions! Hopefully we'll get where we need to go!
