This has got to be the parador which overlooks the Alhambra. I was 10 when we stayed there-41years ago. The parador itself is a former monastry and has orange and lemon trees in the gardens. I remember also that it was the first place I ever tried swordfish and gazpacho!

We ate at El Huerto de Juan Ronas in the Albayzin. The restaurant is on the hill opposite of the Alhambra. They have a gourmet restaurant and also a roof top terrace, casual dining area. We at on the roof top and the view of the Alhambra all lite up was amazing. There was also a full moon that night.

Search Easygoer under Spain and you'll see our entire Andalusia trip report. Loved it!

Also, mid September is a perfect time to go.

The Parador is in the Alhambra grounds. The view you are looking for is from restaurants in el Albaicín.

One more question! Do you need to make advance reservations for these restaurants??
