Dingle peninsula or ring of kerry

First time to Ireland-traveling end of March with rental car-If only time for one of the two drives-driving north to south which one and why? How long does each circle take and what are attractions to see? Probably only impromptu short walks, nothing lengthy. Is there a good location to stay for two nights that allows us to do both if one day for one and one day for the other is doable? Any interesting attractions that aren’t the typical tour bus stops. Having difficulty planning itinerary as not sure of our flexibility with accommodations. How available are accommodations at the last minute- don’t want to be driving another 2 hours after an 8 hour driving day just to find a place to spend the night if typically everything is booked in advance. If this is the case would then give up flexibility to be able to relax during the evening -anyone with experience finding accommodations the same day? Thanks
