Here's a quick list of stuff others suggested on finding it out:

http://www.irish-insight.com/distances.html
www.theaa.com
www.mapblast.com
http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/gbr/dyn/controller/HomePage
http://www.shellgeostar.com/share/

But still, check out the replies to the thread: Mileage Between Ireland's Cities

Is it possible to spend one night in Dingle or in the vicinity? The drive is 2-1/2 hours by Shell's estimation, and that is without any stops or wrong turns.

If you do go, allow yourselves plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful drive. When we went in 1998, we spent a few nights in Dingle and took our time one day following (somewhat) the drive outlined on Rick Steves' site:

http://ricksteves.com/plan/countries/dingpen.htm

I had my birthday dinner the first night at a wonderful little restaurant in Dingle ... if you're interested, I'll scavenge through my box of travel "stuff".

Thanks Heather and Wendy!
We could stay in Dingle or Killarney but as we plan this trip we are finding so many things that we want to do and are ending up moving from City to City about every 2 days and we are there for two weeks! This is more than I want to move but am afraid to miss anything. Would you recommend the Dingle over the Ring of Kerry? If it's not too much trouble I'd love to know the name of the restaurant in Dingle - thanks!
