Dijon Apartment Rental My Home In Dijon

My husband and I recently returned from France where we spent 10 days in the lovely city of Dijon. Dijon is Paris without the attitude and the prices. The food and museums are superb and the people delightful. Dijon also is a wonderful jumping off point for the Burgandy wine region.

We rented a huge studio apartment from Coco (www.myhomeindijon.com) and her home became our home. We could fall out of bed and into the Ducal Palace. The apartment came equipped with everything anyone could ever want including a computer. I was even able to make aioli using the hand held blender that I found in the closet.

In addition to stocking the refrigerator and the pantry with more than enough to get you started, Coco picks you up and deposits you back at the Dijon train station. She is a whirlwind of charm and a natural born "innkeeper".

If you go, and you should, be sure to make My Home In Dijon yours too.

I'll be the first to second this fabulous rental in Dijon. It really is a perfect town, able to walk everywhere including the train station so one does not need a car, great museumS(yes, plural, lots)and of course the wonderful COCO and her comfortable and beautiful apartment. I love that there is a computer there also. She certainly does make it comfortable to move right in and not have to worry for a day or two about getting to a store for supplies.

Glad you also had a wonderful time there.

Glad you liked Coco's place. We didn't get to stay there, but Dijon was simply wonderful. We met Corrine on this board a couple of years ago, and she took the time to give our group a lesson in French pastry. Yum!

We will get back to her town, and use her apartment one day, you can be sure!

And may I be the next to heartily recommend Coco's lovely apartment, and she is a gracious, helpful guide and hostess!

Bonjour mes amis and thank you all!
I have to say that Barbara was brave enough to come to Dijon with a broken foot but it didn't prevent her from going to great restaurants like Stephane Derbord to test and taste their 25€ menu twice!
She made me want to try it as well and we went there yesterday with my husband and three friends. I can tell you their "menu surprise" is a great one! The service was very professional and Madame Derbord is charming (she remembered Barbara very well and gives her her warmest regards)
Barbara wrote about her experience in various restaurants in Dijon on the apartment note book, maybe she will tell you here what she liked...

Nukesafe Dick it's been more than 3 years now! Time flies!

Pal, where were you on the 31st of September? ;-)

We are returning to Dijon later this month and we will once again be staying in Coco's wonderful apartment.
We totally agree with all the favorable comments in this post and highly recommend Dijon and staying at Coco's apartment.

Yes i was there Coco Cherie in the Dijon-Ville main train station, waiting by the heurtoir (?) at the end of quai 3. Where were you on the 31st of Sett?

I will get a rain check?

Pal I was waiting at the other exit near the botanical garden of course, as usual. BTW I already told you platforms are from A to J.

What is a rain check?

"rain check — a ticket given to a spectator at an outdoor event providing for a refund of his entrance money or admission at a later date, should the event be interrupted by rain; an assurance of a deferred extension of an offer, especially an assurance that a customer can take advantage of a sale later if the item or service offered is not available (as by being sold out); or a (sometimes vague) promise to accept a social offer at an unnamed later date. The latter two meanings derive from the first, which OED states was first used in 1884; its first written entry into non-baseball usage is cited as 1930"

Ditto from me on everything tucsonbabe and the others have said. Dijon was one of the highlights of our trip to France and Coco and her apartment were the icing on the cake. My SO now uses myhomeindijon as the gold standard for traveling. Everytime I ask him if he'd be willing to stay in an apartment somewhere rather than a hotel, his response is "Well, as long as it's as nice as Coco's".

I wish I could just pick it up and move it to London for our stay there!

Coco Cherieeeeee:

Est-ce que une chambre libre pour le 31em de Novembre prochaine? J'attends ton reponse avec grand anticipation.

Meilleur regards, Pal Q Palenque

PS - Est-ce que l'eau courrant dans le flat? Un WC avec Lavabo? Douche?

Merci Jahoulih, nice to read you again

Tdudette à bientot maybe...

Hey goddess, how are you? Hope to hear from you in London, I'm sure you can't wait to be there! We'll stay in Covent Garden for 3 nights only in December, I envy you!

Micheline I hope you got the pics I sent you

Pal I'm afraid it is not possible on the 31st Nov because azandfl will be there already. Maybe in February 30th or 31st ;-)
Oui l'eau court dans l'appartement, surtout quand il pleut!
Oui bien sûr, un wc avec lavabo et une douche dans la baignoire.

Ira,
I hope you get this message as I need your advice. Twice, I have submitted a review to Tripadvisor for MYHOMEINDIJON and twice it has disappeared. I contacted Tripadvisor and although I received an automatic reply advising that my message had been received, I have yet to receive an answer from them.
I am attempting to revieew under hotels and perhaps this is the problem. Do you know of a way to review a rental?
Thanks,
Tucsonbabe
