Difference between Palau-Naples Linee Lauro ferry and Cagliari-Naples Tirrenia ferry?
If I am reading this correctly,
http://www.gruppotirrenia.it/tirreni.../mainframe.htm
It's stating that in high season, from Cagliari-Naples a 1st class lux cabin is 80.05E per person, and a car iss 77.98E.
When I look at this,
http://www.fun.informare.it/ferry/la...uro-napauk.asp
It says for Palau-Naples a type A cabin with 2 beds is 144E per person. A car is 130E. Why the huge difference between the lines?

Tirrenia is a state-owned company and will usually be cheaper than a privately-owned company like Linee Lauro which, incidentally, now trades as Medmar as it is no longer owned by the Lauro family. Medmar's own website is www.medmarnavi.it.
Cagliari is actually a long way from Palau. If you're heading from northern Sardinia to Napoli, the nearest alternative is Olbia or Golfo Aranci to Civitavecchia which is served by three operators: Tirrenia, www.corsicaferries.com and www.mobylines.it.
You need to compare fares carefully as the different operators have seasonal fares, and standards of cabins vary between ships.
