Diamonds for sale

I'm having trouble learning more about Paris and France because I am being blocked by a diamond ring ad! Anyone else having this problem and if so can anyone suggest how I can get past it? I'm managing to progress past it on Forums but when I go to tabs like Destinations I am stymied.

I understand the need for advertising but it is limiting my options on Fodors menu.

Thanks

huh? I don't see any diamond ad. But even if you do - most ads on Fodors can be clicked to close.

Don't you have an ad blocker?

I guess I don't have an ad blocker. I'm using Google. Have not yet found an option for ad blocker. When I click the ad I'm sent off to the diamond site.

No - don't click the main part of the ad. That will open it as you say. Look for an 'x' or'close in the corners of the ad and click that.

Also try going to your preferences and look for something like 'Block Pop Ups'

I have been operating with Pop ups blocked. This ad has no close option. It's a banner at top of screen.

The problem has arisen since I changed my virus and security software. I've just had a look on the product forum and there are a number of complaints re the product no longer including an "ad blocking" option which is why I could not find the option. I shall have to find another way of achieving this.

Thanks for your feedback.

Have changed to using Firefox instead of Google. The ad is still there but is no longer preventing the page from displaying. Whippee!

Now you have Firefox add Adblock Plus to it and you will be free of ads completely. Add DoNotTrackMe and you will be free of most tracking cookies too.

Could this be the infamous diamond ring scam?
