Are yous going by train or car - trains can get to lots of neat scenic areas - check www.ricksteves.com and www.budgeteuropetravel.com for lots of rail itineraries including such places - download the latter's free online European Planning & Rail Guide for lots of such places easily reached by rail and check Rick Steves Backdoor books and site for others. www.seat61.com is a great rail site and also covers scenic trains.
