Be sure to check out Antwerp's great street and area of noted Art Nouveau structures! Not far from Middleheim-near the Antwerp-Berchem train station.

We loved Rotterdam too--one of our most pleasant travel surprises. We want to go back. A beautiful modern city that works. Great museums, great food, good transportation, pleasant people. Kinderdijk is an easy boat ride. Very close to The Hague and Delft.

Here's one place locals here do not like when I highlight it but it is a unique place - the type of such place only seen in Holland and Belgium in my trips -so brash so open and to many so sad -but a spectacle of Antwerp:

Oops pre-mature posting somehow cut off above from this link:

http://www.amsterdam-red-light-distr...m/Antwerp.html

Says Amsterdam but Antwerp's much smaller but similar red-light district is talked about, including "Europe's most high-tech bordello"

Tulips -I do repent!

It's really irrelevant PalenQ; there's hardly anything left after gentrification of the area. It used to be a very rough area of town, but since the Albanian maffia was kicked out, it's much improved. So if you are in the market for hookers, you can safely go there.

One of my favorite restaurants, Pazzo, is nearby.

A neat thing to see in Antwerp if the grand Antwerp Central Train Station, which I learned from tulips or some other Antwerp denizen that it's called the Railway Cathedral:

So even if not going by train check out one of Europe's most beautiful train sheds!

If it was me I would stay in England and spend the 3 days in York.

another Antwerp thing to see perhaps is to visit the Diamond factories and shops opposite the grand main train station - kind of neat seeing Orthodox Jewish men in their black garbs and full beards.
