Designer Outlets Near Florence - worth it?
My husband and I are going to Florence at the end of November. I have always heard about the outlets, but are they really worth it? Am I going to get out there and then only get $20 off of a $1000 bag? We are hoping to do our Christmas shopping while in Florence, but don't want to waste our time at the outlets if we can't get good deals. If anyone has been or knows anything about them, any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

My wife and I were in Florence last month and we joined a 1-day 'Outlet Tour', 21 Euro per person. The tour departed at 9am.
We were driven to 2 outlets, both out of town, approx 45 minutes to an hour drive one way. (We had a rental car but there was no way we could find these places!).
The first stop was SPACE. This place houses Prada, Jil Sanders and Helmut Lang. Shoes, handbags, clothing. We stopped for approx 2 hours. My wife bought a late model Prada handbag for 300E, at the Prada shop at Via Tornabourni, it retailed for 800E-900E.
The next stop was The Mall. An impressive cluster of warehouse style buildings housing a number of designer labels - Gucci, Pucci, Burberry, E Zegna, S Ferragamo, Tods/Hogan, La Perla etc. This place also has an outdoor landscaped area and a bar/restaurant. The busiest of the outlets was Gucci and Burberry where one had to queue up to get in!!
We did not make any purchase at The Mall.
The tour finished back in Florence at approx 7pm.
