Delta has made it so hard to use miles in their FF program. Perhaps it's a sign for me, at least: switch to United or use the cash back cards instead.

The trip I'm on at the moment was made using Delta miles. I had a feeling when I booked the tickets -- and used most of my miles -- that it would be my last as a SkyMiles customer....

That article is rather vague wouldn't you say? Rewarding people who buy the priciest tickets <B>as opposed to</B> rewarding people who fly the most. What does that really mean?

What if you happen to fly in First Class all the time and also fly a lot?

The Delta website has a calculator to show what you will earn under the new program, based on your membership status with them as well as on the amount of money your ticket costs.

I'm a lowly, non-status traveler, and I'll earn about half as many miles under the new program as I do at the moment.

It sounds as though if you are flying coach, you will not be getting much in the way of perks. They want flyers to spend more on seats to further increase their revenue.

Correct me if I am wrong but if the majority of Delta frequent flyers say little about these changes that means they will occur, correct?

They don't call them Skypesos for nothing. Delta now has a huge lead in the race to the bottom among airline mileage plans.

Isn't this the same airline whose CEO said it wanted to remain "independent" when USAirways proposed a merger and then promptly merged with Northwest?
