Hi--has anyone received the double miles bonus from Delta's promo which ended July 15? I thought it was a 60 day wait, but I haven't seen them yet. Thanks for filling me in.

Do you mean the double miles on all purchases with the Amex card, instead of just the gas and grocerery store?

I received, in the last week, 1000 miles that were labeled MORE SYKMILES PROMO and my husband had 2 seperate entries for 1000 each marked the same way.

I was assuming that that was from the bonus promo and they just rounded it up to 1000.

We are both still waiting for the 15,000 miles for spending $5000.00 in 5 month on both of our accounts! I'm hving a letter exchange with Amex for the last month!

My experience with Amex is that you have to work hard to get what they promise--long term issues with them. Does anyone recall what the waiting period was to be?

I just looked at the fine print on the double miles offer at http://home3.americanexpress.com/cor...uble-delta.asp, and it says "Please allow 8-12 weeks after the promotion for the bonus SkyMiles to be posted to the Cardmember?s Delta SkyMiles account." So I wouldn't worry too much about the miles not being there yet. (Mine aren't either, by the way.)

Robin..thanks..you have encouraged me to keep whining and being persistent...30,000 miles is a lot and I'm going to keep the pressure on! I use the card for all our purchases and bills.. anyone that take Amex gets it!I even paid for the big down payment our new car with it!

I'd keep checking for another week or 2 on the bonus miles though...My husband received his first miles about a month ago and we both got the second set a week or so ago. I hadn't used my card for the first part of the promotion so I had no miles coming.

I called AX about 2 weeks ago and was told it should post on my OCTOBER statement.

Thanks all--Toto, that's probably the missing info --it's October until the actual posting--I think the other postings are the monthly double for certain purchases that the Delta Amex card has routinely--phone, supermarket, etc.--

Jody--I notice you mention the 30,000 miles--I thought I would be getting a similar high amount, but someone told me that there is a 20,000 cap on the bonus points, so I went overboard sadly--on the good side, I just bought savings bonds online with the card--so it was an ok savings thing for us. I should know by now to read the fine print more closely!

Here's hoping our October statements reflect the points. We want to book.

The 30,000 miles ..were 15,000 for my DH and I ..we each have seperate Amex accounts. The deal was 10,000 on 1st purchase then 15,000 additional if you spent $5000.00 in the 1st 5 months..which we each did. Still haven't shown up but I noticed a 5000 miles addition to my account..and I don't know what promo that was for!!!

But I'm not going to question it! But then it's not October yet so maybe something will turn up later. I'm saving all my corespondence and will wear them down...when yo're retired you can kevtch long and loud!!
