For any Washingtonian Fodorites: Northwest has National or Dulles to London, Paris, or Frankfurt for $169 roundtrip right now (with taxes it comes to about $250 total). No blackout dates, through late February. You can get the fares through the nwa.com website, travelocity, & maybe elsewhere. I just booked for Vets weekend. Don't know how long this will last. I found out about it on digitalcity.com

Don't know if this fare is still out there -- it may be gone already -- but today United has DC to London for $129 ROUNDTRIP (plus tax) but only for certain dates in early November.

Just checked, and there are blackout dates for the Northwest fares, Dec. 13-24. And I had no luck getting the fares for several dates.
