Daylight Saving in Europe

Does "daylight saving" happen in Europe - if so, during which months is it implemented?

We just "springed up" our clocks on Sunday-a week a head of the US. So for this week Central European Time is 7 hours ahead of Eastern US Time.

Since Europe changes on a different date than the US, it pays to be aware of time changes on trans-atlantic flights during the week between time changes.

In Spring, it paid off for me as the flight to the US left an hour later than originally scheduled, making it easier to make my connection. In fall, perhaps it works against you.
