Day trip to Glendalough from Dublin

I recently read (and now can't locate) something about a highly recommended half-day minibus daytrip from Dublin to Glendalough (+?).
Can someone help with this info? We're headed to Dublin next week.
Info regarding any other worthwhile small-vehicle half-day trips from Dublin would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!!!!

I did this one and was very good. Smaller bus. I really picked it for Avoca where they filmed Balleykissangel. You can tour the woolen mills, have lunch or head to Fitzgerald's pub for a pint. Glendalough was beautiful as well as Asher gardens. My friend's did one that was part train and then bus.

Did one - can;t recall the name - and was underwhelmed. The day trip from Dublin that I found fantastic was Newgrange - especially if you have any interest in human prehistory. (But not for anyone who has claustrophobia.)

Hi DARCIEM,

You have several options for 1/2 day tours from Dublin. Recently I did one to MALAHIDE CASTLE - interesting history and fabulous grounds, and HOWTH - lovely fishing village, yachting center, and upscale suburb of Dublin. There was time for lunch at any one of the fresh fish emporiums in Howth.

Very reasonable - about $28.

It's all personal preference, of course. I have been to Glendalough, interesting if the weather is good. NYTRAVELER suggested "Newgrange - especially if you have any interest in human prehistory." That was not my cup of tea.

Enjoy Dublin...

Your husband has mobility issues and Norman the guide would be good with him. He gets you as close as possible to the sights. You meet his bus across the street from the Kilkenny store, 15 Nassau St. On return he will drop you off as close as possible to your hotel. The Kilkenny store is one of my favorite shops btw. It is an 8 hour tour but gives you a great view of Wicklow.

We did a small Paddywagon tour to Glenalough last year. I think it lasted 8 or 9 hours. They picked us up on O'Connell Street.
