My husband is Welsh : some of his friends & relations think laver bread should just be heated up as it comes, while some think it should be mixed with oatmeal & fried as patties.

It is extremely nice with fried cockles & bacon - there's a hotel in Pembroke which does it for lunch, but as others have said it's really a breakfast dish.
