Day trip from Marbella to Tangier

My friends and I would like to take a day tour of Tangier from Marbella on March 14 (Monday). Are there any tours that include transport from Marbella (through Algeciras) all the way to Tangier? I found one but it only tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which doesn't work with our schedule. Can you direct me to any websites? We would like to book ahead of time because we will be arriving in Marbella late Sunday night and have no time to book with a tour agent there.

Thanks!

I debated about such a trip several years ago and after extensive research concluded that it wasn't worth it. Most tours are simply an excuse to take you from one tourist trap to another to fill in the time between fighting of beggers and being fleeced by local pitchman.

If you want to see Morocco, you have to go on your own and hope to find a good local guide - a risky proposition. You also have to get out Tangiers. At least, that's what I'm told.

When I thought I was headed to Spain, I was researching this as well. Many posts here give good reviews on one particular tour guide:

I just want to let you know what a fantastic trip we had to TANGIER with our family of seven. We all cannot say enough positive things about our guide Abdelhamid. All the other contacts we were involved with were also wonderful.
We are Experienced Travellers and prefer to go on our own,but have been Told that it's probably not a good idea to travel on our own in Morocco.
we used Abdelhamid Idrissi Kaitouni of [email protected] on our recent day trip to morocco. The trip was excellent! it's hard to do better than Abdelhamid! He was so great and so knowledgeable... We loved the trip to Morocco and into the countryside to see more of that part of Tangier.
Our guide was a Great man and figured out how to deal with the crazy Americans after a Full-day Tour Of Tangiers City. We enjoyed him a lot and we experienced that He was a very good tour guide and authentic.
tangiertour was probably the best idea we had all trip.we are American and he spoke English so we learned a lot about Morrocco and Tangier.he really made our visit to tangier much more enjoyable.his honesty is impecable. He will do His utmost to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable Tour, and that you take home new knowledge and many rewarding memories of morocco.
he even told us we paid too much for the tour by mistake! he really is a nice tour guide, and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

DO NOT GO BY YOURSELVES. If there is no tour group or a Moroccan tour guide to go with you, then DON"T BOTHER. We specifically asked our guide to take us to the Medina where we spent a lot of time with the kids hanging around the communal oven, the local market, talking to the tailor, the baker, etc...that made our trip a worthwhile experience. Agree that a private tour guide makes a tremendous difference. Otherwise, I strongly urge you not to go by yourselves.
