Day spa in Paris?

Hi everyone,

I am headed to Paris in Feb. with my mom and my stepdad. My mom's 50th birthday is in Jan., and I want to get her a couple of extra-special gifts. Can anyone recommend a good day spa in Paris where we can relax, have massages and facials, some lunch, etc...? Thanks

One of my favorite things to do after a long flight is indulge in a facial. Here's where I went on my last visit to Paris. No one spoke English and my French sounds like Tonto talking, but it was a lovely way to start my visit!

Anne Sémonin

Le Bristol, 108 rue du Fbg-St-Honoré, 8th (01.42. 66.24.22). M° Miromesnil or Champs-Elysées Clemenceau.
Open 10.30am-7pm Mon-Sat.

Facials are the thing here, delicious ones with basil, lavender, lemon grass, ginger and plant essences. Try the ‘New Package’ which includes an energising massage, a divine facial mask that smells and feels so good you’ll have to fight the urge to lick it, a seaweed bath for your back, plus a reflexologist studying your feet to see how every little thing is holding up. Treatments cost from €60 to €135.

Here's a link to a day spa that I've gone to several times. Usually, I go on arrival day for a hamman and massage. Very professional and lovely surroundings. Treatments are reasonable; hamman and 50 minute Ayuvedic Massage is E115. Located very close to Opera Garnier but tricky to find. If you reserve here, be sure to print out the directions as it is located in an inner courtyard. Also, the Carita Spa at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe is supposed to be fantastic.

If you are staying in or near the Marais area, try this one:http://www.lesbainsdumarais.com/bdm_site.html
or look up my previous post on it. Had a great time. If your French is not up to snuff, use a translation site like bablefish.

My wife and I were in Paris in July and she did a day at Carita in Rue Faubourg St Honore and loved it.
