I use this often, even when not packing for a trip, just to know what the weather is like in whatever place I think of.
At the top of the page in the middle, type in the name of the city. Also, I usually look at the historical averages for a certain date when packing for a trip. Of course it is not a guarantee, but still helps.

And now it looks like it'll be time for sunscreen and sandals next week, with full sun and temperatures up into the 70sF, in London at least. About bloody time too.

"You all sound a hardy lot, "

We don't. We sound like people who do things.

Your warmth depends as much on what you're doing as on the external temperatures. Walking long distances (especially in towns), or exposure to sun through glass, when it's 75 or over is a great deal more unpleasant than doing so in the 60s, however used you might be to unbearably hot weather. And the poster's not coming to Britain to lie around a beach all day.

And wearing a fleece on the London tube system once it gets over 70 outside is practically life-threatening.

I think this weekend should see temperatures rocketing to above 18C for both days before we go back to the more normal 14C.

>>hitting the ground running in london tomorrow<<

A bit late to tell you, and you may not see it in time, but the Olympic torch relay will start its journey around London - Greenwich and East London tomorrow (they'll be taking it round every London borough during the course of the week):

Not for long nona - rain returns tomorrow and will apparently stick around for the next week and a half. Bummer for the Olympics, so hopefully the forecast is wrong (as usual ha)!
