Currency for Krym

We are visiting Yalta and the surrounding area in October. Any advice as to the most welcome currency to take for exchange. Sterling, Euros or US Dollars? Also is the condition of the notes important? For Russia we had to obtain new, unblemished notes. Does this rule apply in Ukraine?

Either euros or dollars will be fine, whichever is easier for you. It is best to have dollars that are the newer large-face type and in fairly new condition.

Thankyou for your advice DB. We were not aware of a new type of Dollar so you have helped us a lot.

Just to be clear, I was speaking of dollars collectively and in general. I believe the new $1 bill is last and yet to be released (I haven't noticed any), but the $5, $10, $20, and up, are released and in use.
