Currency Conversion Web Site

Watch the value of the dollar decline from the comfort of your own home, or do various conversions of currencies on this handy web site:

I exchanged some £ for $ in readyness for my visit to NYC soon. The $ is actually strengthening against both the pound and the Euro.

Something to keep in mind for anyone who does't already know; you won't actualy get the offical rate for your money. Figure at least 3-7% less. The offical rate is a wholesale rate and the banks and anyone else in between also takes a cut.

Well when using my USAA Mastercard I have found that I only pay 1% over the average wholesale rate for that day.Same thing when I use my Credit Union ATM for cash withdrawals.

tatersalad, that's not universally true. The exchange bureau I use charges exactly 2% over the interbank rate, with no other fees. My credit card fees for Euro charges range from 2-2.75% over the interbank rate. My ATM card charges 1% plus a $3 CAD fee per withdrawal.
