This building was boarded up when I worked in Bellagio for the summer in 1972 when I was a student! I was a room maid in the Metropole and we all lived in the attic in the Splendide (the same woman owned both and she was NASTY). What a great summer!

The Hotel Gran Bretagna (built 1861)was, at one time, the biggest and best in Bellagio. Indeed, it had so much land with it that Serbelloni was used as an annexe of the Gran Bretagna. <BR><BR>Still a ruin, unfortunately - the costs of refurbishment would be astronomical.
