Does anyone know the name of the cruise terminal in Malaga. I called the cruise company and they didn't know!! Also we're looking for a hotel near there, thank you.

It is the Port of Malaga as far as I know, all these years. I will be surprised if it is called anything else.

Hotels, how much do want to spend - perhaps this almost opposite - http://en.ac-hotels.com/1103-AC_MALAGA_PALACIO.html

The cruise terminal is in the port right in the center of the great city of Málaga. From the port area you enter Plaza la Marina in the end of the main street Marqués De Larios. Tourist information on Plaza la Marina.

These are two excellent hotel options in different price categories in the middle of everything and close to the cruise terminal:
Hotel Molina Larios: http://www.booking.com/hotel/es/mala...-lario.en.html
Hotel Don Curro: http://www.booking.com/hotel/es/mala...ncurro.en.html

Málaga is genuine Andalusian atmosphere, excellent tapas bars, cafés, nightlife and perhaps the most easy-going people in all of Andalucía. Within three hundred metres in the center, you'll find the recently excavated Roman theater, the 8-11th century Moorish Alcazaba, the great 16th century Cathedral and both Picasso's birth-place and the new Picasso museum (2003).

A couple of articles on the city:

The port area is quite large, so in worst case it would mean a four min and 5€ taxi drive to the hotels mentioned above.

There is a free bus shuttle service from the cruise dock to the harbour entrance. The main entrance to Plaza de la Marina is closed for works, but I believe pedestrians can cross. There's only one mooring place for cruise ships at the end of the dock, with the customs building, all new. It is a bit of a walk, check the bus.
