@ kelsey22: You always make me smile, Kelsey! I appreciate your kind words and am glad to think that my comments, even these old ones, are still proving of benefit. Happy travels!

@ TPAYT: I'm sorry, but I don't know Opatija's Yacht Club and don't have any specific recommendations for restaurants in Opatija.
FWIW -- which is probably very little, because I haven't been in the area since 2009 -- I would suggest that if you are dining in Opatija on a weekend evening, you might do well to avoid the center of town and/or to ensure that your chosen restaurant is described as quiet, unless you prefer an exceedingly lively (read "ear-splittingly noisy") place.
For my one night in that area, I stayed in charming (if decidedly less upscale) Lovran at the other end of the Lungomare. The place I mentioned in my initial post -- Knezgrad -- wasn't fancy, but my meal was delightfully fresh. It's latest reviews on tripadvisor aren't very recent, but you might take a look if you think you might make it to Lovran for a meal.
And speaking of Lovran -- I strongly recommend that you walk as much of the Lungomare that extends from Opatija to Lovran as you can. It is beautiful! There was -- and I suspect still is -- bus service along the road just inland from the seaside promenade, so you can walk in one direction and take public transportation in the other. (But do check that!)
Hope that helps!
