Croatia & Mostar Hotel help!!
I think I posted in the wrong forum last time...so I'll try this again...
My boyfriend and I are heading to Croatia at the end of August. For the most part we're going to just book our accommodation as we go...Most posts I've seen on this site say it should be no problem.
But the ones I think we should book so we have no hassle are
1) the first night we arrive in ZAGREB
2) our one night in MOSTAR
3) our last night in SPLIT
Does anyone have any recommendations for these three cities? We like b&b's or family run places with lots of character - that are as central to the town as possible. I realize in Zagreb we'll probably have to stay in a hotel. That is fine too.
Thanks!

For Mostar I highly recommend:
Motel Kriva Cuprija
www.motel-mostar.ba
It is very centrally located, reasonably priced, very friendly, and a nice included breakfast.

I stayed here in Zagreb
http://www.slisko.hr/index_en.html
It's not right downtown, but an easy tram ride. For me one of the great advantages was that it was VERY close to the bus from the airport on that first day when you are jetlagged and confused.
Basic but VERY clean!

Thank you both!
Barb the hotel in Mostar looks very cool! I'm getting more excited about our trip by the hour!
CarolA - you're right, I'm sure we'll be Jetlagged ... so getting to and from the airport and town easily is a must! and this place looks really reasonable
Thanks!
If anyone else has any recommendations feel free to suggest!

And I second Barb's recommendation for the Motel Kriva Cuprija in Mostar.
Great location, clean, and it's where Barb and I had a mini Fodors GTG drinking a local wine on the terrace outside our rooms as the sun set and the muezzin bell rang out...
Have a wonderful time in Mostar, and indeed the rest of your time in Croatia.
