Crit'Air for foreign rental cars
Hello,
This summer we're gonna make a road trip along the Rhine river. We land at ZRH and take our rental car there, then travel on. One of the destinations in our route is Strasbourg, in which clean air regulations are in place. We are planned to get there about 5 days after landing. I have found some formal info regarding private-owned vehicles, but nothing about rentals.
Are these regulations applied for rental cars as well? If so, how do I arrange a sticker for a car I do not own, is not registered in France and I'll get its registration details less than a week before arriving?
Thanks!

You could as your rental company if their cars have a Crit'Air sticker already and of not if they can apply for one- you can even offer to pay I guess to make them more inclined to do it, though there is no guarantee of course you will get the car with the sticker on the day.
I believe you can drive without the sticker if you have proof of applying for it - yes it tells you in the FAQs - https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/foire-aux-questions
You need a print out of the invoice. Taes a few days though so again no guarantee it is for the car you are given.
