We stopped in for a drink at Crillon -le- Brave but have not stayed there. It is close to Carpentras and about 30 km from Avignon. It is a nice place, but don't know how many kms from Arles.

I have been there so often and written about this place that I was accused of being a tout for the hotel by one of the frequent woman posters. It is beautiful and takes up most of this tiny village. It is built on terraces with magnificent views. Dining terrace on one, swiming pool below and on another a bistro. The food is great, the rooms are beautiful. I can't tell you miles to Arles as I don't drive but the hotel is situated at the top of the village next to the church and faces Mont Ventoux and villages around Crillon are Vaison La Romaine to the north and Carpentras to the south.

I've never measured the kilometres, but drive time to Arles would be about an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half.

PB

We've stayed at Crillon le Brave...its all that Cigalechanta has described. It's one of our fondest memories of stays in Provence.

Hello,
My husband and I are considering a few nights here at the end of December in order to tour areas such as Gordes, Roussillon, Les Baux...any thoughts? Thank you!
