Covid rules for multiple airlines

If you aren't yet travelling, you might be interested in this travel article in the Sydney Morning Herald today. It talks about the Covid requirements and conditions for a number of airlines that service Australia:

Maybe one of your favourite airlines is on the list !

The 13 hour leg will be a bit tortuous.
I’m masked for 8 hours at work, then tonight another hour at the shops, that seems long enough! But, if it gets us back to Europe...

I wonder if boosters will be due by then, though.

It's not just OZ. I live on the US west coast and calculated that to get to London, my front door to the hotel's I will have to wear a mask a minimum of 24 straight hours with the only respite being when actively eating or drinking. And that is only with the best connections. Could be closer to 30 hours.

I'm booked for early December and hope to pull it off but may just ditch the whole thing

It's almost seems better to book with a one day/night layover some where just to be mask free for a few hours.

I'm with you on that - a mid-journey sanity break in hotel room with some private space. Otherwise most flights from Australia to various destinations in Europe are a minimum of 21+ hours, let's round it to 24, and then you still have to get from your first port of call to your final destination. A mask for that length of time will be hard, but if you have to do it, you have to do it.

The more people who do this, a community of best practice will emerge. For now I am thinking about an overnight transit stop in South-East Asia and limiting travel to one European country.
