I was going to take my first overseas trip to Paris in November but through a fortunate chain of events I'm leaving in 17 days Solo in Paris 3/27 - 4/4 and I can't remember being as excited over a trip. Bon voyage!

Paris in June/July 2007 so I've got plenty of time to both be ready and well prepared.

US trips are every month. Just got home from skiing in Colorado and I'm taking Spring Break in Clearwater, FL in 19 days. I'm taking 4 teenaged boys so I don't think one can ever be ready for that!

Leave for London in 2 days, booked the trip yesterday $794 air & hotel for 5 nights.

5th time in London in 6 years.

Plan on taking a Pub walk each evening and heading to some markets. I especially like the Portobello Road market.

Also looking forward to a few pints of cider. Cheers!

In early May, Spain for one week: Toledo; Trujillo/Caceres; Segovia; Pedraza. Thanks to all who gave me so much help in my obsessive planning. More questions to come as I work out details! I have been to Spain many times but this will be my first visit to Trujillo and to Pedraza. I hope to post a good trip report with emphasis on eating!

I am looking forward to getting some personally made perfumed lotion, some more london clothing (their sports brand),seeing Soho in london, buying more tea, and really relaxing a bit more...visiting parks and visiting Windsow and visiting some new friends!!

I am looking forward to seeing all of the Italian renaissance art that is available in Florence.

I leave March 21st for a month in Rome. Most of my time will be photographing in St. Peter's. If you're in town and want a tour, let me know.

Can you believe it? I did have a $150 coupon though so that made it a bit cheaper. I am also staying at a 2 star hotel.

Going to London May 29 - June 5. Also, the last reply is correct. Expedia does seem to be spitting out some good deals. I posted this earlier on a different message, but I got 4 tickets for $500.00 each (TPA to LON). I am going to book rooms thru priceline. I seem to have better luck doing it this way. It is the second trip to the UK for myself, my wife and daughter. My daughter is taking her best friend from Highschool and it is the first trip for her.

I just got back last night from two weeks in Vienna and 3 nights in Krakow (13th trip to Vienna since 2000 and first trip to Krakow). Had a wonderful time. Next trip will be in September/October to the Black Forest for about 10 days (5 nights based in Baden Baden and 5 nights based in Freiburg) and possibly a Christmas trip to Oberstdorf in the Alps (would love to have a white Christmas).

My husband and I are going to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria and we leave July 1 for 14 days. I have been a couple of times backpacking, but it'll be a first for my husband. I am still waiting for my renewed passport with my new, married name. We have flights, hotels, rental car, but need to plan out our time in each place. Reading all of these posts makes me get so excited. Being in Europe is such an experience/a high that lasts for a long time after you return to your "real life." Everyone, have fun on your travels. It is one of the greatest things in life!!!!

Next Europe trip: Probably some time in 2007, probably to France and/or Greece. My husband is trying to convince me we should go to New Zealand instead, but I can't pry myself away from Europe!

Until then:

-In 10 days I leave for San Francisco (4 days) as my dance troupe is performing at Rakkasah, a large belly dancing festival down there. First time for me combining travel and dancing (my two favourite things!)

-May 20-27 is New York with girlfriends

-January 2007 is likely Belize with hubby and friends

I have a hard time focusing on anything not related to my trip.

I'm going to Stockholm and London for work in 24 days! First time to Stockholm and 5th time in London! I will have just a day or so to wander around Stockholm, so I'm already reading up on the threads to see what I really shouldn't miss.

12 hours before I leave for Rome, going to spend 7 days there, it's my first time.
And it's 84 days before I leave for France, spening 2 half days (first and last) in Paris, a weekend in Grenoble, during which I'll attend a fabulous cocert, then 3 days in Annecy. Can't wait!

Leaving in 10 weeks for my first trip to Europe. DH has been before but never to italy. We will meet up with my brother and his wife in Paris, drive to the coast and then on to Tuscany for a week in a villa with 15 other family members. listened to advice from all, have my down travel pillow, bubble wrap for my wine, and thousands of maps.
Oklahoma-Traveler, please tell your son "thanks".

Leaving in 4 days for Istanbul!

No, I am not ready at all and am just starting to work on packing. But I have certainly read numerous travel books and websites! And I have a good friend who's lived there for years so I am not as studious as I would normally be!

First time to Turkey. First time, in fact, spending more than one day in a country where I don't speak at least a little of the language! I've travelled pretty extensively in Europe but the Romance languages have been good to me and this one is definitely outside of my comfort zone - which is also good!!

I am most looking forward to seeing my friend (it's been 10 years!) and soaking up a new city!
