Dave....<BR>I agree with other posters...you would not want to base yourself in Bath and expect to tour the Cotswolds..a day trip would be best. We loved Chipping Campden! It's a great town to base yourselves in..or Stow on the Wold. However...I disagree with a previous post recommending the Cotswold House in Chipping Campden. We did not find it worth the almost $300 price per night, per room..and we rented two rooms during our stay. They were not friendly...after we mentioned that items on the website advertised all sorts of extras..which we did not get. And, we did not have any hot water on our last morning...as we headed off for a drive to Oxford and train to London..not a great way to start a day..and they offered only a mild apology..that's the way it is in the country sometimes. I did check their website recently and noticed that the place just got a much needed facelift. I've stayed in expensive hotels before..but this did not match the quality expected. We stopped at Lords of the Manor...very elegant. I will be happy to go back into my files for other suggestions should you still not have a place to stay. Glad to help...have fun!
