I have been to Venice and Paris without going into museums. It's not a requirement, if it's not a personal interest.

There isn't a lot of "street food" in Switzerland. But the grocery stores and bakeries do have prepared foods you can pick up to make a picnic. But even "fast food" in Switzerland is very expensive.
