Cosmos Tours
Hi,
I am a 54 yr old lady and my husband and
I are planning to go to Europe this Christmas. We are looking at doing a 23 day European tour with Cosmos. We are trying to keep to a relatively low budget. Has anyone toured with Cosmos and what was it like. I realise it is at the lower end of the scale, can you point out what sacrafices are made because it is cheaper?
Thanks for any help.

We (50's couple) did the Grand European with Cosmos last year and were absolutely delighted. You certainly can't beat the price. The accomodations were fine and our tour guide was great. (Never any pressure to buy extras) It was our first experience "across the big pond" and we have since returned on our own and have two more trips planned this year.
I could go on and on about all the little things Cosmos did to make our trip such a success. Please e-mail me for details.
I think the tours are generally fine and quite good value. From what I've heard, the 3 key watchouts to expect are that the breakfasts are often nothing more than toast and a hot drink, hotels in the more expensive cities are sometimes not located in the city centre but a 15min bus ride away and as with most packaged tours, you may spend no more than a few hours in a small city like Luxembourg. But none are terrible downers and it's a decent way to get a view of Europe.
