I grew up in England, but I've lived in the US since 1975, and I haven't driven in the UK since 2004. Still had several good trips there (for example: England and Wales by public transport )

If you are seniors you might look into the Senior Railcard, but for a couple the Two Together Railcard is likely to be a better deal: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times...Railcards.aspx

New here and would like to ask a question regarding Cornwall without a car. We would like to visit a few of the beach destinations. The problem is while my husband is ambulatory, he cannot walk up hills. Do any of the beach towns provide transportation up and down the hills within the town itself? Thank you.

Welcome to Fodors sga. It would be much better if you started a new thread of your own with your own specific questions, rather that tacking on to someone else's topic from a year ago. Use the "New Thread" button at the top left of the forum page.

Thank you janisj, I don't see it at the top of this page is there somewhere I need to click first? Easily get lost here since I haven't done this before. Thanks!

It isn't at the top of the page when you are 'in' a thread'. But if you go to the main Europe page (with the list of all threads), it is there . . .

We all had a learning curve
