Coping With Jetlag

You've already gotten lots of good advice, but here's my little tip on this damnable jetlag: for an early arrival, have a room waiting for you and go to bed immediately. For years I did the torture routine of staying up all day, and my jetlag lasted 4 or 5 days. Now I go to sleep immediately (9am) and sleep 8 hours (no pills needed). At 5pm I take a long walk, then have dinner at 630 or 7, watch TV until 10 or 11, take a sleeping pill and sleep 8 hours. The next day starts a big groggy, but by mid-afternoon, the jetlag is gone. Works for me!

I use melatonin. For me it works like magic, otherwise I suffer for 3 days.
The nojetlag pills advised by some here are a herbal sleeping pill - contains chamomile etc.Never tried it but I'd expect it to be partly effective.
Melatonin works by resetting the body clock.Take it in the dark 24 hrs before your first sleep at you destination.Cover your eyes & forehead, swallow, doze, wait 30 mins.
Note it is not for sale in the UK.
I have seen post here saying they have heard that some get bad dreams from it.
