I'd recommend that you browse this forum for recommended hotels and on-line booking websites forthwith. Folks have been complaining since last fall that booking a room for June is a considerable challenge due to all that's going on there that month.

Donna: The challenge starts already in April with Easter weekend, Ascension weekend May 24-27) and Whitsuntide weekend!
In Europe, we are all (almost all) off and I lot go to Paris. So you better hurry up if you want to find a nice place. But you all want to go to the same places. Try around Montparnasse area. Good places too, very lively and a bit classier than the Quartier Latin!

Go to the rants and raves section on this website and do a search. Very good advice. I don't really invest too much time in finding a hotel. Location location location - oh and clean. Who cares if there's a mini bar? You're not going to spend your holiday in a hotel room are you?

Joyce
as suggested, you can
do a search here on Paris hotels and find a ton of info. You can look elsewhere on the Fodor's website for rants/raves and hotel suggestions. You can also provide more information on what your needs are (elevator?, a/c?, how many people in room, budget, etc)
and get some suggestions here.
Don't wait much longer to book; many of the popular places will already be full for June.
I have a Paris file including many hotel recommendations from this forum which I will send if you want to email me.
good luck

Joyce, I just returned from my first trip and stayed in Hotel Ile de France Opera; 26 Rue St Augustin (I think they have a web site). It is a 20-room hotel with a very helpful staff who speak enough English. It is very near the Opera Garnier and within good walking distance of all of the major attractions. I couldn't tell you how much a room would cost in June, nor if you can get reservations. I felt very comfortable and safe as a single woman traveler. I also booked TouringScope for a personal pick-up and delivery to / from the airport (They too have a web site). They met me at the exit from customs and the rates were well worth not having to maneuver luggage and find transportation in a foreign country for the first time.
