eric...appreciate your sentiments...we travel somewhat like you do...and found Copenhagen to be a great location for scouting around...main thing is to keep on truckin'...travel til you unravel!

The buzz is, STORM is to Copenhagen what Colette (boutique) is to PARIS.

I can't remember seeing Storm, but these were nice;
Rue Verte, and Gossip (on Ny Ostergade), and some good boutiques on Kronprinsgade (Stig P). Good shoe shops in Kronprinsgade too.
And then there are the flagship stores for Danish labels Day Birger Mikkelsen, Malene Birger, Munthe plus Simonsen, Rutzou.

Don't forget Illum department store.

And if you have any money left over, the airport has some of the best shops I've ever seen in an airport.

Next door to Peder Oxe is restaurant called Bøf & Ost which we prefer - address of the small square with cobbled stones is Gråbrødretorv.

Conditori La Glace is a lovely place for coffee & cake, it's in Skoubogade. Nice place to take a break, fantastic selection of layered cakes, traditional rather than trendy.

I also like the suburbs of northern Copenhagen eg Klampenborg or Charlottenlund and visiting places off the tourist trail.
