The Temple Church in London is quite interesting -- small, but with many historically interesting tomb markers, and some delightful gargoyles on the inside, down low enough to actually see quite easily.

Allow me to clarify. I agree with many of the other churches suggested here, but I just do not have a digitized image to share. The Weiskirche comes to mind, the yellow church at Orta San Guilio, and the wedding chapel at Mondsee.

From the thread title, I thought this was a thread about churches that remain comfortably cool in the heat of summer. I thought that was an odd question, since most churches are made of stone and stay pretty cool even when it's hot outside. Then I was curious whether there are a lot of wooden churches that do not stay cool, and thought that might be a more challenging question a summer tourist might ask.

Hi, what a nice thread for the season. One of my favorite church memories is a little painted one with a sort of wavy top in Fussen. I can't contribute a picture link, but maybe someone knows its name. J.
