Cooking classes in Paris?????

Hi, been looking all over net to find cooking classes in Paris. Just one class will do. Don't want to gain too much weight.

HAH I have done zee work for you, cherie! I did a month of searches for my stay in Paris and found:

www.theinternationalkitchen.com Paule Caillot hosts half-day and full-day classes

www.intiweb.com/fmeunier Francoise Meunier hosts one day, three day, etc. classes

http://www.ritz.com/En/R0500.asp I tried to get into a day class, but they were full. I opted for a demonstration.

All accommodate English speakers.

Both Paule and Francoise will tailor a class or classes for you; my excitement is over going to the Poilane bakery with Paule (as in, IN the bakery, seeing the bread being made...).

Hope this helps.
elvira
do you know if it's possible to visit the Poilane bakery without taking the cooking class? Does Poilane normally accept visitors?

elaine, don't know about Poilane allowing visitors outside of a 'formal' group. I'll ask, though, when I take the tour.

Their website gave the following email address: [email protected]
If you're planning to visit Paris before I get back, you could email them and ask if you could visit.

Nope, my (short)visit isn't until Dec.
I'll wait to hear after you get back, or else email them--thanks for the address.
Have a wonderful trip by the way--can't wait to read about it.

You can also go to the website www.shawguides.com. Click on "Cooking Schools - Recreational" and then search France.
