Connecting rooms Barcelona

We will be in Barcelona for 3 nights so it makes no sense to rent an apartment this time. We need two hotel rooms that connect since we will be traveling as a family with adolescents. We would like to be in the heart of the Eixample if possible or Barri Gotic-- but are not attached to either of those locations. Has anyone discovered any hotels that have connecting rooms? Not concerned about style of hotel or price range at this point.

A few of the top hotels have connecting rooms, but you might be interested in the Majestic Residence for your 3-night stay (http://majesticresidence.es).

I was just looking at hotels in Barcelona, I do know some apt websites in that area that allow 3 night stays, if that is the issue. If you just don't want to bother, I can understand. The ones I've seen don't allow you in until 4 pm, for one thing, and one had security deposits, etc.

In any case, some Husa hotels have connecting rooms. I was looking at the Husa Avenida Palace on Gran Via (in-between Eixemple and Catalunya plaza), and it has connecting double rooms, for one (habitacion familiar).

You're right Christina, we are there so briefly that an apartment is unnecessary.

The Majestic Residence is a luxury accommodation with all of the services of the 5-star Hotel Majestic, located across the avenue. It's a residence, some with two bedrooms, instead of an apartment and offers a lot of room for the price. It's also one of the best addresses in Barcelona.

The Avenida Palace is also a good deal, but you should email the hotel regarding the connecting rooms, to make sure they are available ([email protected]).

Mandarin Oriental in L'Eixample has connecting rooms. You can go through their central reservations, but they usually will have to consult directly with the hotel.
I find it easier to call the hotel directly and ask for in-house reservations.

FYI for anyone interested in connecting rooms: NH Centro has them and so does Barcelona Catedral. And possibly a Hotel Denit--They wouldn't guarantee that the rooms connect but said they could be connected.

www.colonhotelbarcelona.com Room 306 and 307 would do nicely. Room 306 is a smaller room, but room 307 adjoining is a much larger cornor room.

We had 306, that looks out at the cathedral.

we liked the location and old colonial feel of the Gran Via, just a short walk to Passeig Gracia and Placa Catalunya. Not sure if there ccnnectng rooms but I've found that many older propeties do have them.
