Düsseldorf has been closed for a few hours today. Frankfurt had delays. Some delays in Munich too, they claim because of de-iceing taking longer. Only little snow in Munich, quite nice around freezing. Streets are dry patches of snow on the sidewalks.
State of emergency in a few places in Westphalia, because of havy snowfalls reported.

It's a bit more chilly than usual in Paris, but above freezing and free of any weather that would impede travel (although the suburbs can get colder).

My neice e-mailed yesterday. Snowing in Copenhagen.

I read on another forum that it snowed in Paris today.

It did. It helped France to beat South Africa at rugby (LOL!). Pity it didn't help Scotland to beat New Zealand.

Actually it's much warmer than it was a week ago, but that's the cloud cover. There's more snow predicted for tonight.

<i>Snow</i> is a relative term. In Paris, it often means semi-melted clumps of what were once snowflakes, which immediately turn to water upon hitting the ground. So it's more like a half-frozen drizzle. Usually it doesn't get cold enough for anything more snowy. Certainly it rarely resembles the dry, fine powder that most people think of when they think of snow. It has to be well below freezing for that, and Paris hardly ever gets below freezing.
