Cochem Weingut Rademacher
I read about Weingut Rademacher in Rick Steve's book, but I don't see any recommendations on Fodors. Has anyone been to Hotel Weingut Rademacher?
I'm looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Cochem.
Thanks,

Haven't stayed there. It's sort of all by itself behind the train station, separate from the town, adjacent to the tracks. Doesn't look like the best location unless you want to be right near the station.
I'd prefer a spot near the Marktplatz (town center.) Have you looked into the Lohspeicher? It's right there:

Inexpensive? Go to Frau Hilken's lovely little B&B.
Löhrstrasse 20, Cochem
tel. 026741/3254
(You can probably just show up depending on when you travel - she doesn't speak English. She isn't listed with the TI, so only regulars know about her place. Again last month, I had a nice single with a view of vineyards and a fantastic breakfast for 20 Euros.)
Other rec's for Cochem and the area:

Hi,
While I can't answer your question about the Rademacher, I can recommend highly the Weinhaus Hotel Rebenhof, just across the river in Valwig.

Thank you Russ and Paul,
Russ you mention Frau Hilkens, and I've seen somewhere you also recommend Frau Mattes, and Haus Andreas. My question is I'll be traveling in a group of 5 people, will these locations be able to accomodate our size group? And if so which location would you recommend?

The Mattes family has retired their B&B.
5, eh?? Frau Hilken has two doubles and a single, as I recall.
Haven't stayed in Haus Andreas myself - but they have a good location too and 13 beds total according to this chart of Cochem's accommodations:

Ben has reviewed the place:
