Clothing for Germany in April???

We live in NV and are going to be in Germany (Frankfurt area), and Prague. We will have children with us. I am not sure how to pack. I am trying so very hard to pack light, but I am worried we will freeze!
TIA,
Jackie

It's always best to wear layers. You'll want some lightweight long underwear (silk is light and dries quickly) to wear under your jeans, slacks or whatever. Then a camisole, tee shirt and sweater or polar fleece under a lightweight rain/wind proof jacket would be warm but allow you to "peel" off a layer or two if necessary. Gloves and a warm knit hat are also recommended.

We were in Germany last May and it was very chilly. I was so sorry I didn't have my gloves with me but they are definitely on my list for this trip.
