We are staying near Montaione and will need someone to take us to a train station to head to Rome. I have tried looking at the Eurail maps and Trinitalia but couldn't find one that listed the small towns. does anyone know a site that does?
P-Tex - From my map the nearest station is Castelfiorentino (- or Certaldo).
From there you can catch a regional train to Florence SMN - from where you can get the Eurostar direct to Rome.
Fastest journey time from Castelfiorentino is 2hrs 45' to 3 hrs.

Thanks Steve. i had looked on the Trinitalia site but didn't realize innercities meant between cities. anyway, we will either take your Castelfiorentino suggestion or San Gimignano depending on who feels like drivng us where. thanks gain and forgive my ignorance.
